How does the light change through the seasons in the space you occupy? Where do the shadows fall and what corners are illuminated depending on the time of year? What are the hues and tones of the world around you?

I am drawn to the edges of the day, when the sun’s light is the longest and illuminates the world in a golden glow and casts long shadows across the earth. I enjoy observing the light, color, and texture of my surroundings and practice capturing this through watercolor painting and drawing. Having a creative practice is integral to me as a person and I enjoy sharing creative spaces and time with others as well. Art is a powerful in its ability to connect people and this is something that I continue to explore in my own practice.
